You can have your cake and eat it at Disney!

After all, they do say it’s the place where dreams come true. Some people come for the rides, but foodies come for the food. You know when you go down for the hotel’s buffet breakfast and you can’t decide what you want?

It’s the same at Disney World, but we’ll try our best to help you whittle it down.

Feast on these!

Breakfast

If you’ve got the littles ones with you and want to get the day off to the best start ever, head over to The Four Seasons Orlando who put on a great show with their Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and Pals. There’s breakfast, and then there’s breakfast with Goofy. Cue grins all around.

If you have a hankering for something sweet, head to Magic Kingdom's Cheshire Cafe for a "cat tail", a pink and purple Danish log. Disney's Hollywood Studios has Woody's Lunch Box where you can scoff something on the stranger side - Smore's French Toast, anyone? Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT, meanwhile, let's you dig into something a bit more on the healthy side - think overnight oats and tofu wraps.

After something more chill? No worries, wake up when you want to and head down for breakfast at your own resort. Staying at Art of Animation and want to grab and go? Great, this resort has some of the best quick-service food at Walt Disney World. If you're staying at the Polynesian Village, you've got to try the famous Tonga Toast from Kona Cafe. A cinnamon sugar-crusted, banana-stuffed sourdough tower of goodness. Yes, please.

Lunch

So you’ve mooched around the Parks for a bit, and now you’re feeling peckish.

Get that much needed sugar hit with Hollywood Scoops’ signature Brownie Sundae, or mix it up a little with an Orange Blossom Shake. You’ll find them on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you need something a bit more substantial – with a heavy dose of fun – try the 50's Prime Time Café on Echo Lake, also at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Classic, all-American dishes are on the menu here – think Mom’s old-fashioned pot roast and Aunt Liz’s golden fried chicken. And if you come back for dinner you can have it in front of the TV and enjoy black and white clips from popular fifties shows. Go on, you’re on holiday!

Animal Kingdom's Flame Tree Barbecue let's you have lunch straight from the grill - word is, it's THE place to go to get your pulled pork fix. For lunch with a view, try The Plaza Inn. On the corner of Main Street, U.S.A., it offers mega views of Cinderella's Castle from both inside and out. A great spot for the kids, on the other hand, is the T-Rex Cafe at Disney Springs - every 20 minutes or so you'll hear a roar - just a little recreation of the moment the meteor hit...

Dinner

There are the people who want to dine under the stars, and then there are the people who want to dine under the sea. We like those kind of people. And if you’re one of them too, you’re in luck. Enjoy intimate dining with more than 2,000 sea creatures in the underwater world of The Seas with Nemo & Friends – one of the largest man-made ocean environments on the planet. If you’d prefer to stay up top, there’s La Hacienda De San Angel at EPCOT for those with a hankering for Mexican grub. Fancy a tipple? Their very own Tequila Ambassador will guide you through their extensive selection - ¡Salud!

Also at EPCOT is the Nine Dragons Restaurant which offers contemporary Chinese cuisine under the soft glow of traditional lanterns and stunning glass artwork. And – bonus – if you sit by a window you’ll get a sweeping view of the World Showcase Lagoon promenade. Talk about people watching, eh?

If you’re after something more unusual, pull up to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant and chow down on some good old all-American dishes. But here’s the kicker – you get to do it in a classic car ‘automo-booth’ on a Hollywood-style soundstage. Lean back, relax, and let the classic sci-fi clips roll.

At a glance

So just how many dining options do you have in each park?

For something a little bit oooooh

For those who want to splurge on the very best there is, it’s got to be Cinderella’s Royal Table.

The crème de la crème of dining at Walt Disney World Resort, Cinderella’s Royal Table lets you eat in THE storybook of storybook settings – inside Cinderella’s Castle itself. Think stone archways, medieval flags, and stain-glass windows overlooking Fantasyland. Oo-er.

Cinderella’s Royal Chef will whip you up something special here, that’s for sure.

Pssst...

Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance and – trust us – you’re going to want to plan ahead, especially when it comes to the themed restaurants which fill up fast. And for the super-planners amongst you, aim to eat at off-peak times for more relaxed dining.

The dining staff at Disney are very well-trained to deal with special dietary requirements, so if you have a specific intolerance it’s best to dine at restaurants with table service and to alert staff to your needs when booking.

Oh – and this is important - don’t forget that in-park dining requires all guests to have a Park Reservation and valid admission for the same park on that same day. Repeat after us: Park Reservation, valid admission, same park, same day.

Got it? Great!

Wait, say it again?

There's more than Mickey!
