• How to get to Liverpool Airport

  By car

  Use the M6 from any direction, then you have a couple of options:

  • Exit at Junction 20 to merge onto the M56. Exit at Junction 12 and follow the signs for Liverpool Airport. Bear in mind this route takes you over a toll bridge (Mersey Gateway Bridge) with ANPR cameras.
  • Exit at Junction 21a onto the M62 West. Note: this is a split junction so keep your eyes on the signs to make sure you're heading west! Leave the M62 at junction 6 and head over the roundabout onto the A5300 (aka the Knowsley Expressway) and stay on this road right to the end where you'll meet another roundabout. Turn right here onto the A561 (aka Speke Boulevard) until the junction with Speke Hall Avenue, where you'll see signs to the airport.

  By train

  Liverpool South Parkway is the closest train station, about 3 miles from the airport. Connecting bus services are the 80A and 86A, and they run every 20 minutes. This station offers connections to regional and national destinations, including direct links to Warrington, Manchester, and London Euston via Runcorn, the Midlands, Crewe and more.
  
  Liverpool Lime Street Station is 7 miles from John Lennon Airport and is well connected to the rest of the country.

  By coach

  National Express operates services to and from Liverpool, with connections available at Liverpool One Coach Station to bus services 500, 80A, 82A, and 86A, which go to the airport. Popular routes include Birmingham, Leeds, London, and Manchester​. You can also use Megabus for transport to and from Liverpool John Lennon airport.

  By taxi

  Wheelchair friendly ‘black cab’ taxis operate from outside the terminal building and card payments are accepted! Private hire taxis can be pre-booked ahead of time for drop off / collection in designated car parks only.

  Multi Storey Car Park
  
  Directly opposite the terminal, the multi storey car park offers the most competitive prices for convenience. It's fully covered and you can save up to 70% by pre-booking online.
  
  Long Stay Car Park
  
  Ideal for longer trips and the cheapest parking option of the lot, the long stay car park is a 4-5 minute walk away. You can save up to 70% by booking online or if you're feeling daring, just turn up on the day.
  
  Motorcycle parking
  
  You can park your motorcycle for FREE in the Express Drop Off area. Just bear in mind that there are limited spaces here, and they can't be reserved or booked ahead.

• Electric car charging

  There are two electric car chargers in the long stay car parks. They are only for 'short term usage' though - contact the airport for more details.

• Is it free to drop off / pick up?

  Yes! You can hang around for drop off / collection in Drop Off 2 for up to 40 minutes, free of charge. It's a 400m walk from there to the terminal.
  
  That's your only free option for drop off and collecting, but if you don't mind paying, you can also drop off and collect passengers from:
  
  Multi Storey Car Park - park for up to 30 minutes for £6 or an hour for £10. If you need to accompany passengers to the terminal, this is your cheapest option.
  
  Express Drop Off and Pick Up - directly opposite the terminal building, it's £5 for 10 minutes, £10 for 20 minutes and £25 for an hour.

• Is there a smoking area?

  Yes, in the departure lounge. It's on the lower level, past the Kissing Gate bar and restaurant. Those with limited mobility can access the area from gate 17.

• How long do I need to be at Liverpool Airport before my flight?

  You'll need to check in at Liverpool Airport at least 2 hours before your flight. It can vary by airline, though, so check your ticket details.
