Whether you want to be on the beach or Downtown in the thick of it, Dubai has all kinds of hotels – so there’s bound to be one to suit your needs and budget.
Hotels on The Palm Jumeirah
At the top end of the scale, Dubai’s famous man-made island, Palm Jumeirah, is home to many plush hotels – you might recognise the likes of Atlantis The Palm, Fairmont The Palm, Atlantis The Royal and Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. Wherever you stay, you’ll probably find that your hotel will offer some extras, such as waterparks access and wildlife attractions to entice you in. Several Dubai hotels are also part of leisure clubs that include access to gyms, swimming pools and golf courses.Things to do in Dubai
The City of Gold has a long list of things to do, and Downtown Dubai is the best place to start. This buzzing area of the city is where you’ll find the Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building – and its dancing fountains, along with the gigantic supersized Dubai Mall. If you’re after some beach time, the chic Dubai Marina is the place to be. You can look forward to see-and-be-seen cabanas on the sand, as well as a floating assault course out on the water.
If you fancy a change from the futuristic sky scrapers and town-sized shopping malls, why not explore Dubai’s authentic souks? On the Deira side of Dubai Creek, you can hop between the Gold Souk, Spice Souk and Perfume Souk – the perfect spot for souvenir shopping. Or, leave the city behind you completely with a 4x4 desert drive.
