Dinner by Heston Blumenthal serves up a cutting-edge take on British cuisine, and he's taking us allll the way back to the 1300s. Prepare to go on a right old romp through the kitchen of medieval Britain, shaped by a contemporary hand. If anyone can do experimental food, it's Heston.

Nobu by the Beach brings the restaurant's signature Japanese-Peruvian cuisine to Atlantis The Royal, but this time it's coming to its FIRST ever daytime poolside beach location.

...and then it's bottoms up!

Cloud 22 will make you feel sky-high in more ways than one! With knock-out views to make your Insta grid pop (and all your mates seriously jealous), this rooftop bar was designed with the surroundings in mind. Waaay up on the - you guessed it - 22nd floor, take a dip in the infinity pool or the fancy sounding velvety pool. Claim one of the 15 private cabanas and listen to the DJ play his set. Oh, and there's plenty of expertly-mixed drinks to be had. Cheers to that!

But if you take your beverages really seriously, then head to Resonance by Heston Blumenthal - a molecular bar unlike any you've ever seen before...

We've already told you about Cloud 22, where you can float with a cocktail 22 floors up, but what other shenanigans can you get up to?

Well, there's Awaken Wellness, an holistic spa where you can cleanse your body and clear that cluttered old mind of yours. Traditional treatments are infused with modern technologies - we reckon it's time to set yourself free, don't you? Oh, and while you're setting yourself free, don't forget to try out the Royal Sensorium, a bathhouse with treatments including - wait for it - volcanic rock, crushed meteorite, lavender black soap and gold. Woah.
If you like a bit of a spectacle, then you need to check out the Skyblaze Fountain. Rising a whopping 28 metres into the air, fire and water collide in one of the world's most dramatic water shows.

If you've got kids, this next one's for you. Or even if you don't have kids, we reckon this is a good shout for a day out: Aquaventure is The World's Largest Waterpark, with over 105 record breaking slides and attractions. You'll also find Journey to The Lost Chambers here, an aquarium with over 65,000 (!) marine creatures in residence. What's more, if you don't want to just look at them from behind the glass, you can get up close and personal with a snorkelling, diving or Aquatrek experience.

August is also the best for a dip in the toasty 33° waters of the Arabian Gulf.
