Embrace your inner Waturi and brave a visit to Krakatau, the 200-foot volcano, where you'll face the ancient fiery spirit, Vol. Thrill-seekers, brace yourself for gravity-defying plunges and the fastest water slides you've ever seen across 4 themed villages at Volcano Bay, Universal's mega waterpark.

RAINFOREST VILLAGE

Rainforest Village is designed to immerse you in the beauty and tranquillity of a tropical rainforest. Think lush landscaping, cabanas, and exotic flora and fauna. It's filled with the sounds of flowing water and birdsong, creating a mega calming atmosphere.

Besides relaxing, here you'll find the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, a thrilling water coaster that propels you uphill in a four-person raft through the volcano; Taniwha Tubes, a series of colourful, twisting tube slides that provide both single and double rider experiences, and TeAwa The Fearless River - a lazy river with rapids and currents, offering a more adventurous twist on a traditional river ride.

RIVER VILLAGE

River Village has a lovely and relaxed vibe to it, fab for younger children. Think calm waters, gentle rides, and plenty of spots to kick back and soak up the sun.

Some of the standout attractions in River Village include the Kopiko Wai Winding River, a lazy river that gently floats you past volcanic caves and lush landscapes, and the Tot Tiki Reef and Runamukka Reef, playful water zones designed for the little ones to splash and explore safely. For a bit more thrill, the Honu ika Moana raft rides offer twisting turns and mega splashes.

WAVE VILLAGE

Wave Village is the heart of the park and home to some of its major players. It surrounds the majestic Krakatau Volcano and features the stunning Waturi Beach, a picturesque white sand beach with a massive wave pool, all gentle swells and thrilling waves.

In addition to the tranquil beach vibes, Wave Village's also got the Reef, a calm leisure pool with underwater seating, and a special area where guests can watch the waves from underwater. There's also the Ko’okiri Body Plunge, located near the volcano, offering up a heart-pounding drop through a trap door that sends you plummeting 125 feet down in a near-vertical slide!

THE VOLCANO

At the centre of Universal’s Volcano Bay stands the awe-inspiring Krakatau Volcano, the towering 200-foot-tall icon that defines the park’s skyline. This man-made marvel isn’t just for looks—it’s a fully immersive attraction packed with thrilling water rides and beautiful tropical theming. By day, the volcano’s cascading waterfalls create a tranquil and picturesque backdrop, while by night, it transforms into a glowing spectacle with fiery lava effects that give it an almost mythical presence.

Inside Krakatau, you’ll find some of Volcano Bay’s most exciting rides. The Krakatau Aqua Coaster takes guests on a thrilling, twisting ride through the heart of the volcano, whilst the Ko’okiri Body Plunge offers a heart-pounding drop from the top of the volcano, sending riders down a 125-foot near-vertical slide at incredible speeds.
