Ben Gurion is located 12 miles south east of the city. Its two passenger terminals receive direct flights from London Heathrow with British Airways, EasyJet and El Al Airline. Getting around the airport
The airport is large, but it has many escalators and moving walkways to help you get around faster. There is also a free shuttle bus to transport you between terminals 1 and 3. It runs frequently throughout the day.
Getting to the city from the airport
There are a number of transport options to take from the airport into Tel Aviv. The airport is very close to a motorway which goes straight to the city. As a result, you can opt for a direct public bus service, or take a train from the station. The station is located in the lower level of Terminal 3; it will take you about 20 minutes to reach the city centre from there. If you’d prefer the flexibility of a car, there are numerous car hire agencies to choose from. A free shuttle bus will take you from the terminal building to the car parks.
Don’t forget before you fly
If you are a British citizen you won’t need a visa to enter Israel as a tourist. However, you will be granted leave to enter when you arrive, for a period of up to three months, and given an entry card. Make sure to keep it until you leave as it acts as proof that you have entered the country legally.
