Menorca’s beaches and tranquil waters make it a popular summertime retreat for British travellers. Cala Macarelleta, a short walk from its bigger neighbour Cala Macarella, is one of the best on the island and offers a quieter, more peaceful setting to while away the day swimming and snoozing. If you prefer beach activities, try Son Bou, on the south coast, where you can hire kayaks or go bird watching at the nearby nature reserve.
Horse riding is a popular activity in Menorca, with many trails and routes to explore all over the island, and you can book countryside or coastal horseback tours with local riding centres.
