Delectable delights
Getting cheap flights to Belgium means that the money you save on travel expenses can go to what really matters: food. They might be called French fries, but Belgians maintain that their chips are the best in the world. Come see for yourself if it’s true. Eat them from a cone with a generous helping of mayonnaise and chase them down with a hoppy, frothy Belgian beer. Then there’s the chocolate, of course. Wandering through Bruges, you’ll come face-to-face with a mind-blowing number of chocolatiers and their wondrous displays of chocolate in all shapes and sizes. Regardless of whether it’s a fire engine or a delicate truffle, you can be sure that it will be melt-in-the-mouth delicious.
Urban charm
Belgian cities are ideal for long, weekend breaks. Incredibly walkable, they’re perfect for strolling around and snapping shots of the distinctive crow-stepped gables of the lowland countries. In Bruges and Brussels, look for highly detailed and intricate, Gothic town halls with vaulted windows and towering spires. If Art Nouveau is more your style, however, then the Horta Museum in Brussels is a must see.
Best time to go to Belgium
Belgium’s peak season runs from July to August when the weather is generally warm but comfortable, hovering around 23 degrees Celsius. Due to the increase in visitors during these months, airfare will also increase. Summer tends to be the best time to visit as more cultural events and activities take place during the warmer months.
The winter, Belgium’s low season, is often accompanied by low travel costs. However, keep in mind that the weather is often cold and damp with a high chance of rain and temperatures hovering between three and five degrees Celsius.

From Shrove Tuesday onwards, you can experience an array of carnivals and parades all around the country.
