Barbados climate
In Barbados, the weather is mostly sunny and warm, with average daytime temperatures of between 75°Fahrenheit and 85°Fahrenheit. The hot conditions are moderated by cool northeast trade winds. The dry season starts in January and ends in June, when the hurricane season starts and lasts until October. Hurricanes are very rare in Barbados, however the island does experience some spectacular tropical rainstorms, which are heavy but short, so dry up quickly.

Getting around in Barbados
Buses in Barbados are cheap, frequent and convenient, although they do get busy at times. Barbados taxis do not have meters, so be sure to confirm your fare prior to setting off. The road network in Barbados is excellent, and covers the whole island, making it very easy to explore. Barbados car hire is a great way to tour the island independently, particularly in a 4WD, as it allows you to stop whenever you want, wherever you want. If you want to try something a bit different, why not hire a classic Mini-Moke.
