Information about how to perform online check-in with your airline

• What do I need to check-in online?

  You will need the following to check-in online:

  • your booking reference
  • your flight details
  • a valid passport

• How do I check-in online?

  Checking-in online should be quick and easy to do, either at the time of booking or afterwards through the online check-in section on the airlines website. You can find links to all airlines check-in pages here or see quick links to the most popular airlines below.

  You can also request/book your seats using the online check-in section on the airlines website.

• When can I check-in online?

  Some airlines will only permit online check-in 24 hours prior to departure; variations do apply so we strongly recommend that you check the airline's website for their particular rules.

• What happens if I cannot check-in online with my airline?

  If the airline that you are flying with doesn't allow online check-in, you can still check-in at the airport. However, you will need to take your original travel confirmation document with you for this.
  
  Check-in times at the airport

  • If you are checking your baggage onto a domestic flight, we recommend that your arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before departure
  • If you are boarding a European flight, we recommend a check-in time of at least 2 hours before departure
  • If you are boarding an international flight, we recommend a check-in time of at least 3 hours before departure
  • Bear in mind that you may wish you allow more time to check-in during peak travel seasons, and rush hour

• Can I check in at the airport instead of online?

  Most scheduled airlines allow passengers to check in both online or directly at the airport. Often by checking-in online, this allows for a much quicker process on arrival at the airport.

• What's the recommended arrival time to check-in at the airport?

  • If you are checking your baggage onto a domestic flight, we recommend that your arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before departure
  • If you are boarding a European flight, we recommend a check-in time of at least 2 hours before departure
  • If you are boarding an international flight, we recommend a check-in time of at least 3 hours before departure
  • Boarding usually begins 45 minutes prior to departure
  • Bear in mind that you may wish you allow more time to check-in during peak travel seasons, and rush hour
  • Please note - if you arrive at the airport later than your specified time, we can not accept responsibility if you are unable to travel

• It says check-in time is 3 hours before the departure. Is that right?

  For all long haul flights we recommend a 3 hour check-in - in part due to increased security procedures within airports - to allow yourself enough time to board your flight comfortably.

• What about my return trip?

  Please reconfirm return flights with the airline locally to ensure that your departure times are correct. Airlines from time to time change their flight schedule and it may not be possible to advise you once you have departed the UK. Click here for a link to all airline web pages.
