Frequent flyers will be aware of the airline safety announcements which take place before every flight takes off. They are, of course, vitally important as they include instructions as to what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency – but as any regular flyer will tell you, it’s all too easy to zone out and ignore them. Well, a number of airlines have come up with novel (in some cases musical) solutions to the problem of retaining their passenger’s attention during the safety announcements – by allowing their cabin crew to spice them up! How would you feel if your flight attendant tried to make the safety notice interesting? Here are some of the best announcements we’ve found!
This flight attendant manages to get a number of laughs from his passengers – a very witty announcement!
Listen out for: “Flight attendants will soon be coming through the cabin to check your seatbelt is fastened and that your shoes match your outfit!”
This female head cheerleader (sorry, flight attendant!) makes her speech funny but still completes the safety announcement like a professional.
Listen out for: “There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways to exit this airplane!”
Dave is the infamous SouthWest Airlines flight attendant who raps his way through the safety announcement – it needs to be heard to be believed!
Listen out for: “Before we leave, our advice is, put away your, electronic devices.”
Similarly, this SouthWest flight attendant manages to sing her way through the safety announcement – we’ll let you work out which song it is for yourself!
Listen out for: “All my flight attendants, all my flight attendants, put your hands up!”
